Leah isn’t just a pair of mojaris; it’s a work of art! We got the inspiration to design this while we were travelling all over Rajasthan. We came across one very prominent painting style, called “Pichwai,” which is 400 years old, and we instantly fell in love with it. The vibrant colours, the theme, the technique were all so alluring that we decided to create our version of it in the form of a shoe. Set on an indigo blue, dupion silk base, these feature an abstract floral print that is, highlighted using hand- embroidered zari knots and sequin work. The base print includes a contemporary interpretation of the lotus flower, peacock feather, greens, and other blooms.
Style Tip: This multi-coloured, vibrant pair of wearable art is an all year round kind of shoe. The rich fabric and fun colours of this one will make styling it incredibly easy. You can pair this with neutrals or contrast colours during the hotter months or deeper, jewelled tones during the colder months. It truly is a very versatile pair of juttis to own.
